Na druhý díl postapokalyptické ságy Leviatan jsem se velmi těšil. První díl byl pro mě osobně velkým překvapením a příběh mě ihned dostal. Proto jsem si nemohl nechat ujít druhý díl. Tato série mě dostala díky kombinací prvků hororu, akce a dramatu, čímž vytváří poutavý příběh zasazený do světa zničeného mořskými monstry. Navíc vizuál je naprosto úžasný.
V tomto díle pokračujeme ve sledování sourozence Boto a Ritu, kteří se po záchraně ze zničené věže, kde při souboji s obřím monstrem umřel jejich otec, dostávají do mystického Union Busan – města postaveném na obrovské lodi. Zde se setkávají s novými postavami a čelí intrikám, které odhalují temné stránky lidské společnosti. Union Busan není až tak svatý, jak se o něm říká.

Člověk si musí pomoc druhých nějak zasloužit, nebo aspoň ve vás musí město vidět nějaký přínos. Autoři se zaměřují na vývoj hlavních postav, prohlubují jejich motivace a vztahy, což přidává příběhu na hloubce a emocionálním dopadu. Hlavní hrdinové se stávají více lidští a já jsem jim fandil ještě více než v prvním díle. Bohužel minulosti se nedá uniknout, navíc pomsta na dětech je mnohem jednoduší, než má mrtvém otci.
Ilustrace Mijong No jsou detailní a atmosférické, s důrazem na temnou a ponurou estetiku postapokalyptického světa. Akční scény jsou dynamické a přehledné, což mi umožnilo snadno sledovat děj a ponořit se do něj. Design prostředí a postav je kreativní a originální a velmi líbiví, čímž přispívá k celkovému zážitku z četby.
„Leviatan 2“ je silný v předávání témat k zamyšlení… přežití, lidská přirozenosti a morální dilema v extrémních situacích. Příběh zkoumá, jak se lidé přizpůsobují novým podmínkám a jaké oběti jsou ochotni přinést pro své blízké. Tato témata jsou prezentována prostřednictvím napínavého děje a komplexních postav, které čelí neustálým výzvám tohoto nového děsivého světa.
Závěrem je druhý Leviatan silným pokračováním série, které rozšiřuje svět a prohlubuje příběh započatý v prvním díle. Pro mě osobně je příběh dobře rozvinut a jedná se o špičku postapokalyptického komiksu. Příběh nabízí poutavý zážitek plný napětí a emocí. I přes některé opakující se prvky a přemíra násilí mezi lidmi v tomto díle, zůstává „Leviatan 2“ doporučení hodným titulem pro čtenáře hledající temný a atmosférický příběh.

Rád se nechává unášet na vlnách fantazie, neustále má hlavu v oblacích a snaží se najít další planetu plnou vetřelců a Jaffů. Miluje volnost, kterou mu nabízí četba a pozorování filmů a seriálů s sci-fi a fantasy tématikou. Je vášnivý hráč her, nejraději má RPG jak stolní tak i počítačové. Dovahkiin a Geralt z Rivie jsou jako jeho bratři a všechnu tuto vášeň a lásku pro věc se snaží předávat dál.
